Laadli to Laadli Mentorship Program

Are you confused about what you need to do to become a doctor or lawyer? Do you want to hear about someone’s journey of becoming an artist? Have you already started your journey in one field but might want to look into a different one? Do you want to provide support but also receive guidance?

This program is here to support you in any way that we can.

  • It was a refreshing experience to be able to provide my mentee with insight, information and resources around the field that I felt like I had no clue about when I was first getting started in it. I was thankful and appreciative to have this opportunity to share this information that will hopefully allow someone to make a decision about their career and see if it will be a route they want to take.

    Laadli to Laadli Mentor

  • I was connected to my mentor during a stressful time for graduate school applications. This program helped me connect with someone in my field and gain more insight and guidance when working on my applications. We met every week and my mentor helped me work through everything I had to do and provide feedback from her own experience.

FAQs

  • Yes! If you’re a mentor and are thinking about exploring a different career path we encourage you to also apply to become a mentee and learn from other mentors in our community. If you’re a mentee who is 22 years or older and want to share guidance with other mentees, we also encourage you to apply to be a mentor.

  • The laadli to laadli mentorship program is an ongoing process that heavily relies on what the mentees want and are looking for. Therefore, it is hard to say when or if a mentor will be connected to a mentee. However, we do prioritize mentors that have been waiting to be connected for longer in our mentors database if their field of expertise matches that of the one a mentee is requesting.

  • Usually it will take around a week for a mentee to be connected to a mentor. However, if the field of expertise that is requested by the mentee does not match the mentors in our database it can take around 2-3 weeks as we find a mentor that will be able to provide guidance for the mentee’s specific needs.

  • No, the program is entirely free! However, if you choose to meet with your mentor or mentee at a coffee shop or for dinner that expense will be incurred by the both of you.

  • There is no start or end date! Every mentor-mentee relationship starts at its own time that begins when a mentee is looking for that particular mentor. The relationship can be continuous or it can end after a few times of connecting - that is entirely up to the both of you! We accept applications for mentors and mentees on a rolling basis.
